In the first half of the twentieth century, science fiction writers dreamed of the Arctic in the future - with vast gardens under "artificial suns", giant icebreakers, stratoplanes and cities under a glass dome. However, every winter in the Arctic, the polar night still falls, and not only people, but even indoor plants suffer from the lack of light. Therefore, all residents are pleased with multi-colored windows, which are illuminated by fluorescent lamps due to darkness. Amaryllis, calla lilies and even orchids bloom under these lamps. Many residents groom and cherish their small tropical gardens on loggias and windowsills.
